Description R (Chandra) Chandrasekhar 2008-05-17 13:04:39 UTC
Version: 0.5.9 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu7.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-16-generic

On Kubuntu Hardy with KDE 3.5.9, when a PDF file that is already displayed by kpdf is changed (e.g. after recompilation of source by XeLaTeX or pdfLaTeX), kpdf does not display the changed PDF file, even though "Watch file" is ticked in Settings.

This is similar to but not identical with Bug 122847 which is still unconfirmed after two years.

This bug has kept popping up off and on over time and I will be grateful for a decisive fix.

My current, inefficient workaround is to reload the file using "File -> Open Recent" to see the changed PDF file. If there is a better way, please let me know.

Thanks.

Chandra
