Description Christoph 2006-02-28 18:22:08 UTC
Version: 0.5.1 (using KDE 3.5.1, Kubuntu Package 4:3.5.1-0ubuntu0breezy1 )
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.12-10-686

Watching a file does not always work. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers the problem, but sometimes I have to manually reload the file for updates to be displayed.
Comment 1 Hugh Warrington 2006-03-07 17:38:31 UTC
I too have this problem with KPDF version 0.5 compiled from sources, gcc 3.4.3, Linux 2.6.15.4. In fact, I have not seen watch file work at all.
Comment 2 Thomas Reinhardt 2006-03-26 18:00:57 UTC
Never worked for me too since I moved to ext3 (was reiserfs before).
kpdf: 0.5.1
Slackware Current, Kernel 2.6.15.6
Comment 3 Christoph 2006-07-09 03:17:35 UTC
Update: I've been watching this issue and it works for me most of the time (I use reiserfs) but sometimes, after a document has been open for a long time it stops working and I have to close KPDF and reopen it to get it to work again.
Comment 4 Kartik Mohta 2006-09-03 18:43:02 UTC
Suppose you open the same PDF in multiple KPDF sessions, then the watch file works only in the last window, all the previous windows show the same old PDF.

(KPDF: 0.5.4)

Thank you for your bug report or feature suggestion.

The "KPDF" application is no longer maintained, and all tickets are now closed.

We recommend to switch to the "Okular" application.

Due to the high number of bugs/suggestions in "KPDF" we are not able to go through all of them and verify if they are still valid in "Okular".

That's why are we asking you to help us by checking if your bug/suggestion is still valid in Okular and if it still is opening a new bug/suggestion against it.

Thank you for your effort in making KDE better :)
