Description Tony Garland 2008-04-28 08:26:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

This need was originally requested as part of bug 66812 (which is now marked resolved). Although part of what was mentioned in 66812 has been provided (the ability to read messages separately from a preview pane), other parts of the request have not been provided. Essentially, the problem is that viewing a message in a separate window from preview (with preview pane off) is a second class citizen.

There is no way to:

1. move to the previous message.
2. move to the next message.
3. Most importantly, 'move message to folder' -- this is incredibly annoying.

If a person makes frequent use of folders, then it more-or-less forces them to use the preview pane just so they have sufficient functionality under the 'Message' menu. Please give the independent message view window similar functionality under the 'Message' menu as what one has when using the preview pane.

See bug 71963 for next/previous actions.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
