Version: (using KDE 4.0.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs I can "draw" a bounding box for multiple object selection on the desktop. http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/input-mouse.html.en#bounding-box-selection http://developer.kde.org/documentation/standards/kde/style/mouse/index.html But I do not get an indication from the widgets that some will be selected. I don't get the expected result after I drag a border around target candidates.
SVN commit 774352 by aseigo: don't show the rubber band: it doesn't do anything these days. if/when we get multiple selection, turn it back on. BUG:156740,157498 M +1 -1 view.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=774352
I would prefer to keep this report open as a reminder ... I am curious when multiple selection will be supported. See also the issue "possibility of selecting multiple items in plasma" (bug #156849).
except ... there's already a wishlist item for that, and the specific problem in this BR has been addressed (namely the discrepancy between a rubber band selection and no multiple select). and those two facts are why i closed this one. b.k.o is not your personal reminder board. i'm closing this report (again) and marking it as a duplicate of #156849 which will get you cc'd to the item you want to follow. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 156849 ***
