Description Bernhard Rosenkraenzer 2008-01-22 15:57:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 4.3 rev. 131213
OS: Linux

When starting KDE 4.0, sometimes (not always) global shortcuts don't work. They start working when configuring them (e.g. "reconfiguring" Alt+Tab to Alt+Tab).

This seems to occur more frequently if KDE is run with

Xorg&
export DISPLAY=:0
startkde

than if it is run from kdm.

This may be related to Bug 155008. Startup order issue?

Can you enable the KGlobalAccel debug area and attach output from the case when it doesn't work?

Requested information not provided, and should be already fixed anyway.
