Description Fredrik Carenborn 2008-01-14 10:43:52 UTC
Version: 3.5.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Gcc 4.2
OS: Linux

I have a SuSE 2.3 machine with KDE 3.7. I run a ThinClient enviorment for a school on this. I use Kiosktool to setup files associations and I stumble'd on a problem. I want to bind .dot files with OpenOffice writer. But when im trying to run those files with a user i get a "Open with: "-window and the list of Know applications are shown. When i choose Openoffice writer in the list the application starts fine with the document.
The settings for .dot files in Kiosktool is the same as .doc files, but i have tried all kinds of settings of course. I cant get rid of the Open with window.

Kiosktools default settings for .dot is Crossover's Microsoft Word, but I removed it and added openoffice writer instead.
I have Codeweavers Crossover with Microsoft Word etc. I have also tried to bind .exe files to open with a script i have in /usr/local/bin, but it behaves the same, a Open with windows appears.

I want these files to open with the applications they are associated with and not open a open with windows first.

Best regards
