Description Jeremias Mechler 2007-06-18 17:11:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

Hi,

I've used Akregator since its inclusion into KDE and I'm usually very happy with it.
Unfortunately, it has happened a few times that my PC crashed and that Akregator doesn't want to start up again because one of its files is broken (I think it's bug #116482).
As described there, the problem can be fixed by deleting the corrupted file, which is however not very convenient.
If you read as many feeds as I do, it takes quite some time to find out which file is actually broken.
Deleting it then isn't the best solution either, as its data is, of course, lost.
I'm certainly no Metakit expert and don't know if it's possible, but a function which can (automatically) fix the broken files would be very handy.

I'd be very glad if you could fix this annoying problem in KDE4 or KDE3's next release.
Keep your good work up!
