Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-15-generic It is not possible (for me?) to make a screenshot of an opened menu. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open ANY menu (KDE menu, any app menu, right-click menu in sys tray,...) 2. Press [Print] button on keyboard (or the one you associated with ksnapshot) 3. knsnapshot doesn't start. I think this is not a problem of ksnapshot. I think it has something to do with that KDE doesn't accept global Hotkeys when a menu is opened. BTW, I just recognized that the multimedia keys for e.g. amarok dont work either. When a menu is opened, focus is there and I can't write in this edit box here e.g. Thats. ok, but menus should (MUST!) be transparent for global hotkeys like the [print] button or multimedia keys.
Qt grabs the keyboard when a menu is open. Not sure we can do much about that.
Thanks for the info - Whow - fast answer. So I think I'll file a qt bug at Trolltech's ;-)
ok. I sent a bug report to Trolltech. But I think they have plenty to do with Qt 4.3, so... :-( Mark this bug as WONTFIX/INVALID?

ok, thank you.
