Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Unspecified Linux OS: Linux When exporting an addressbook as CSV, the "Home Address Label" is included as a column but is empty, even if I fill some in. I'd like to have that data in CSV so I can process it easily with shell scripts before doing a mail merge. To add an address label to a contact, I: + Edit the contact + Select the "general" tab + Click the "Edit Addresses..." button + Make sure the "Home" address is selected + Click "Edit label..." + Enter some text + Click ok, ok, ok + Export with File -> Export -> CSV List..., choose all contacts + Open the csv file in OpenOffice.org Calc, find the "Home Address Label" column for that entry, see that it's empty My setup is pretty much the default except that I share and address book in the non-default location with another user as my main address book. Work around: For now, I put the label in the Notes field between distinctive delimiters, but obviously that's pretty hacky.
Dupe of bug 97849?
This bug is certainly related to bug 97849 because it's a problem with export. But this bug is about a different field, "Home Address Label". Also, it's not clear to me whether the PO Box column is present but empty as in this bug, or just not present at all. Also related is bug 113762, which I also noticed in searching for a work-around. Unlike "Home Address Label", custom fields are not present even as an empty column.
I am having a similar issue. I am trying to print mailing envelopes using the addresses in the address book. When I connect OpenOffice Writer to the address book database, it shows me many of the other fields, but does not show the P.O. Box field. Like Marcel, I tried to export the data out to a CSV file, a vCard file, etc., but none of them contained all the fields.
Hi, that's fixed in 3.5 branch Ciao, Tobias
I'm using 3.5.6 I tried to export in csv all the contact but the number of telephon "preferito"(in italian is "preferito" but I don't know in english how it is called, may be "preferred", is the fourth in the list) is not exported at all. It is not possible to see it in a view because is neither in the list of field that you can insert in the selected field for a view
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
