Does this happen in the chat window, or just the history plugin? Could you also attach the screenshot to this bug report - imageshack seems to have turned it into a thumbnail, so I can't see it properly. Thanks!

Does the problem only occur with ICQ contacts? I can't seem to reproduce it with MSN contacts here.

Hrm, could be some old config settings lying around. Could you try creating a new user, running kopete as that user, and see if the problem occurs there? (I guess you'll have to set kopete up with that user in order to get some history to look at in the viewer)
It seams so, that history use user configuration of textcolor but not of custom background color...

This seems to be fixed with Kopete 0.80.2 (KDE SC 4.3.4). The history viewer does use my background and foreground color correctly. Could somebody doublecheck please?
