Description Holly 2006-09-10 17:12:08 UTC
Version: 0.12.11 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I think there's a problem with the AIM protcol, like AOL did something to make it so third party clients don't work.

I can logon to my AIM, but all my contacts are always offline. I asked a friend of mine to login and he did, but I couldn't see him on my end.. and he couldn't see me. It started doing this to me a while back, when I still had Suse 10.1, then I switched to Kubuntu (for other reasons) and it worked for a bit before it did it again. I've also tried GAIM and it does the same thing there.

I signed on using what I believe is the default host; login.oscar.aol.com and the port is 5190. Is that right? Should I be using a different one?

Thanks!
