Description greatbunzinni 2006-06-29 16:21:38 UTC
Version: 0.5.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)

I tried to open a PDF document with KPDF and, to my surprise, a password prompt appeared. After consulting with the document maintainers, they claimed that I had to upgrade to AcroRead 7.0. To my surprise, after installing AcroRead 7.0 and opening the PDF file with it, the application didn't asked me for a password. So it looks like KPDF prompts for passwords eventhough Adobe's AcroRead opens them without asking the user for it.

It would be nice if KPDF didnt' demanded passwords which AcroRead doesn't.

The file is a bit too big (2MB) but it can be downloaded here:

http://www.dre.pt/pdfgratis/1989/10/23900.PDF#page=23

I've also ran pdf2ps on that file and it threw out the folloing error message:

<command>
rui@laptop:~$ pdf2ps 23900.PDF
