Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.0) Installed from: SuSE RPMs kpdf requires a password and does not display the "Intel Core Duo" datasheet below. It works without a password in Adobe Reader. It's PDF version 1.6. ftp://download.intel.com/design/mobile/datashts/30922101.pdf
I can confirm that KPDF asks for a password. gv doesn't like the file either though, outputting the following: ****This file uses an unknown standard security handler revision: 4 Error: /undefined in pdf_check_user_password Operand stack: (\242\001\321\241Ug\365\234i\323\327c\377\030'<) (\242\001\321\241Ug\365\234i\323\327c\377\030'<) Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1062/1123(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:80/200(L)-- --dict:97/127(ro)(G)-- --dict:229/230(ro)(G)-- --dict:16/24(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 2462 GNU Ghostscript 7.07: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
kpdf has the same problem as gv, at the moment we don't support documents with security handler revision 4
Will be fixed on kpdf 3.5.7.
