Description Thorsten Staerk 2006-05-06 19:36:52 UTC
Version:            (using KDE Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
OS:                Linux

Sometimes when I type something in konqueror, strange character fields appear on the screen. These character fields are yellow squares with a black border and black characters in it. At the same time, the message "access keys activated" appears in the status bar. The character fields stay in the konqueror tab for a long time.

This error is not reproducible, it seems as if it is related to a keypress I am doing.

Please remove this.

I mostly can reproduce this bug by pressing CTRL a long time on mail.staerk.de, but not always.

It's feature. Pressing CTRL and then a displayed key will activate that link.
Pressing CTRL another time hides them.

To disable it edit:
 ~/.kde/share/config/khtmlrc:
and add:
[Access Keys]
Enabled=false
