Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Clicking a cell in the month view selects the cell -- its contents are displayed in the pane below the date picker -- but does not select it in the date picker. This causes all sorts of surprises (I was trying to copy-and-paste an event; I copied it by right-clicking it and choosing copy, then I tried to paste it by clicking another date and choosing Paste from the Edit menu, only to find it pasted into the original date). This is quite confusing. There should only be one date selected at each point, and the mechanisms for selecting it should be consistent.
Oh, sorry, forgot to reference previous work: This is mentioned in passing in bug 86470, which calls for clear marking of the date-picker-selected date in month view (this would seriously reduce the severity of this bug, as the effects would become more visible). This has nothing to do with the issues reported in bug 56546, which was about a different sense of sync between the month view and the date picker, although the fix reported there does sound like it should have effected this issue.

*** Bug 144805 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This is now working as expected (with KOrganizer 4.1)
"WORKSFORME" means the bug was never reporoducible. Since it appears to have been reproduced at least once (by the reporter of the duplicate bug), and since a version of a week before the closing didn't work, I think the bug was actually fixed. (my ego notwithstanding, this affects how the bug is treated by QA and reported in changes lists etc) https://bugs.kde.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#resolution
Now copying an event and pasting into a different date cell doesn't incorrectly paste the event into today's date. Now, instead, it fails to paste altogether. ("Sigh!") I have made it into a feature request.
