Version: devel-0.12 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux In our test session, we noticed that with devel-0.12 in both ends, we couldn't get any webcam activity. So, we started to test it more... 0.11(.1) can send to 0.12, but not other way around. 0.11 <-> 0.11 seems to work just fine so somethings broken in 0.12 webcam sending I think.
johann_ol * r505724 Thanks Johann :) seems to work, so I'll close
i am not sure it is linked, but i cant send my webcam to someone with msn 7.5 (didnt try with another version) but i can receive its. i have dev-0.12. maybe it is the same as bug #121182
can you send your cam if: 1. you start the msn conversation chat 2. you send your cam to the other party 3. the other party has never sent nor requested a cam to or from you ? for me it seems to work in an half duplex way
Just my 2 cents: I am experiencing the same kind of issue with 0.11.92 (0.12 beta 1) installed from the ubuntu dapper package (on a SimplyMEPIS distro). To be precise, the webcams only work one at a time. I can receive OR send, but not both. My contact uses MSN 7.5 on a (Russian version of) Windows XP. To make sure, I have explicitely asked kopete to use port 6891 for incoming webcams, and have forwarded the 6890 to 6900 port range to this workstation (TCP & UDP). In fact, I upgraded to 0.12b1 to tray and fix this issue with the "stock" version shipped with ubuntu. The only improvement is that sending my cam to my contact is now more reliable.
