Description Yaroslav Sidlovsky 2005-11-09 20:24:23 UTC
Version: 0.8.4 (using KDE KDE 3.4.2)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc-3.3.6
OS: Linux

can't download URL copied from firefox, for example:
ftp://10.0.185.226/%CC%F3%EB%FC%F2%F4%E8%EB%FC%EC%FB/%C7%E0%F0%F3%E1%E5%E6%ED%FB%E5/%D3%EE%EB%EB%E0%F1%20%E8%20%C3%F0%EE%EC%E8%F2%202%20(%DD%EA%F0%E0%ED%EA%E0)/some-file.zip
(%CC%F3%EB%FC%F2%F4%E8%EB%FC%EC%FB/%C7%E0%F0%F3%E1%E5%E6%ED%FB%E5 -- russian symbols)
with konqueror all is OK
Comment 1 Urs Wolfer 2005-11-09 20:51:20 UTC
Cannot test. URL isn't correctly displayed. Can you give an error message?

Can you download with KGet if you copy the URL form Konqueror? Is there only a problem if you copy the URL from Firefox?
Comment 2 Yaroslav Sidlovsky 2005-11-10 14:09:05 UTC
>>Can you give an error message?
there is no error -- download is not start at all
>>Can you download with...
only from Firefox :(, from Konq all is OK
(I forgot that encoding on ftp is cp1251)
Comment 3 Urs Wolfer 2005-11-10 21:22:20 UTC
So I think it's not really a KGet problem. It's more a KDE / Firefox problem (Firefox isn't a KDE application).

What does happen if you copy the URL from Firefox into Konqueror? Still the same problem?
Comment 4 Yaroslav Sidlovsky 2005-11-11 14:20:05 UTC
No, all is working
Comment 5 Stanley Jones 2006-06-11 19:00:58 UTC
It doesn't work with this url.
http://media-portal.ru/videofiles/RUS%20-%20%C2%EE%E9%ED%E0.avi

Konqueror is handle this url correctly.

btw. I don't think it is "kde or non-kde" app issue. This url is specified correctly (according to URI specification) so kget should handle it.
