Description clcevboxvjeo 2005-10-15 21:14:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.92)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

When kpager is automatically started after login, only first desktop's wallpaper is shown in pager. The others have only gray background. I need to switch between all desktops manually to load them all.
Happens in both kpager and the kpanel applet pager.

By kpanel applet pager i meant kicker's applet called Desktop & Preview Pager. Sorry

I agree that the initial gray backgrounds of the inactive virtual desktops in kpager leads to an unfavorable visual impression. This is especially disturbing when kicker is in transparent mode.

I don't know if it is too complicated to automatically take snapshots of the backgrounds of all virtual desktops at the time kpager is launched for the first time. Alternatively, I suggest that when kicker is shown in transparent mode, the unvisited desktops should be shown transparently and not in gray. This would be visually less disturbing.

Thanks a lot for all your work!

I find that kpager doesn't refresh the background images even when you change options like the number of rows and the text in the label: in theese situations it simply shows a uniform gray background whenever you change an option. Please please please...fix it!!It's so annoying!
