Version: 0.7.2 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre4 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-om With reference to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108949 I see that the issue needs to be specified in more detail: It is possible to send images as email attachments from within the main window through a context sensitive menu (excellently implemented!!) and through a menu item (in the "Bild" / "image" menu) by using the kipi-plugins. Though, these functions are not available in the imageviewer. I hereby suggest to create a menu item in the "image" menu in the imageviewer where the user can send the image as attachment. I suspect this should be a very easy enhancement...
It isn't an image viewer but an image editor with editing functions. If you look a t the menus, you will only find functions which you can use to change the image. Adding the function "Send Image" wont fit well into the concept of the image editor. Beside that, if we add the send image function to the editor we have to add several other functions (Set As Background,...) as well, which is redundant.
Problem is not reproducible with new Send by Mail tool from digiKam core introduced with digiKam 5.7.0. The tool is available everywhere : Image Editor, Album View, Showfoto and Light Table. The items to send by mail can be selected by icon view items selection or by albums selection. Gilles Caulier
