Version: 0.7.2 (using KDE 3.4.0, Debian Package 4:3.4.0-0pre4 (3.1)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-12) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11-om Well, I just thought about sharing a picture with a friend. So I thought about sending him the according picture, and I didn't find any according menu entry. It should actually be easy to add such a menu item and the functionality since this feature exists in Konqueror (send this file).
KWord also has such a menu item. It should be easy to reuse the code from there.
install kipi-plugins (sendimages plugin)
Ah, great. I discovered that function. Though, it is only available in the main window, not in the imageviewer. Maybe another link there wouldn't be bad. At this occasion, it is very striking that the distribution of the functions in the menus is not consistent at all. Once you have found a certain function in the main window, it is not easy to find it again in the imageviewer. This could be subject to a rearrangement. But let's stay with this issue: I would like to have the function - as it already exists - as a menu item in the imageviewer.
then change the description of your bugreport.
I will reopen a new wishlist item as the description is not precise enough.
Problem is not reproducible with new Send by Mail tool from digiKam core introduced with digiKam 5.7.0. The tool is available everywhere : Image Editor, Album View, Showfoto and Light Table. The items to send by mail can be selected by icon view items selection or by albums selection. Gilles Caulier
