Version: 3.4 (using KDE 3.4.0, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5-20050130 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.5.20050130-r1, ssp-3.3.5.20050130-1, pie-8.7.7.1) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r6 My old URL photos in kaddressbook 3.4 are causing some strange problems. If I click on an entry in the list I can see the photo in the summery column. If I click edit, I get an image cropping dialog that lets me crop the image. If I go to the misc section afterwards, I can see the photo cropped as I defined it. However clicking Apply or OK removes the photo completely. The interface also seems to be in some test developer phase. There is a grayed out "Store as URL" and a text input next to the file-open dialog with no apparent function.
There seem to be three separate bugs here: 1. Clicking on "apply" or "OK" removes a URL photo. 2. There is a grayed-out "Store as URL" checkbox with no apparent function. 3. There is a text input area with no apparent function. #1 I cannot reproduce with kaddressbook 3.5. #2 is still a problem in kaddressbook 3.5. #3 is also still a problem in kaddressbook 3.5, and I have filed a separate report for it as Bug 117153.
SVN commit 487450 by tokoe: Fixed several bugs in image input handling I know the patch is rather large for a branch, but the problems could only be solved by structural changes. BUGS:104526,117153,117758 M +217 -229 imagewidget.cpp M +46 -34 imagewidget.h
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
