I too have experienced this problem. In addition, with the konq file window open, if I go to the control center and flip between single and double click in the mouse settings and apply, single-click will no longer open files, which it shouldn't. However, double-click ceases funtioning as well. I can select the file, but I cannot open it without using the right-click menu. I am running 3.1rc6 from Mandrake Cooker RPMs - jonathan - jonathan@chaillet.org I have the exact same problem. Using rc6 on mandrake 9.0 (installed rpm from contrib) Me too ! Mandrake 9.0 (linux 2.4.19), KDE 3.1 from mandrake club rpm (gcc 3.2) Philippe Also occurs in Mandrake 9.1 final, KDE3.1 provided in the distro. Can anyone reproduce this in non-Mandrake? Me too on Mandrake 9.1 final with kdeXXXX3.1-83.3mdk Angelo Seems to be fixed in the KDE CVS Head. Seems to be fixed in KDE 3.1.2 from texstar. *** Bug 57925 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Confirm fine in CVS. Needs a branch check w/stock code, though. Confirmed works in branch as well I've just found out that this is due to Mandrake patches 102 and 105 in kdelibs. Texstar removes these patches from his rpm builds. See: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=texstar+single+click&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&scoring=d&selm=Nbkfb.37722%24iH6.25528%40twister.austin.rr.com&rnum=1 Or tiny url: http://tinyurl.com/tkpy Subject: Re: Single-click opens list-view files in double-click mode On Tue, 4 Nov 2003, Paul Sprakes wrote: > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug, or are watching the reporter. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52314 > > > > > ------- Additional Comments From pauls@sprakes.co.uk 2003-11-04 10:49 ------- > I've just found out that this is due to Mandrake patches 102 and 105 in kdelibs. I guess you can close this bug. Regards, Shlomi Fish ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Shlomi Fish shlomif@vipe.technion.ac.il Home Page: http://t2.technion.ac.il/~shlomif/ An apple a day will keep a doctor away. Two apples a day will keep two doctors away. Falk Fish The problem is still present on Mandrake 9.2 (kde 3.1.3-79.1.92mdk) This bug seems to be the same thing as bug 19379. One must be left open, other needs to be marked as dupe. For all interested, there's a Mandrake bug at http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6392. I have the same friggin' problem with Mandrake Cooker KDE 3.2 RPMS! Greetings A. Starke For your info, the Mandrake bug is now http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/show_bug.cgi?id=982 (the other one was duped to it). |
