Description S. Burmeister 2005-02-15 11:35:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.92)
OS: Linux

Since 3.4 beta 1 it takes KDE >30 seconds to shut down. 3.3.2 took only 1 or even less. >5 seconds gives the impression to the user that the command, i.e. shut down, did not succeed, which does not give a very good impression of KDE's responsiveness.

Expected behaviour would be an instant reaction to the command. If there is some time needed to do whatever, a progress-dialogue should be displayed, in order to give the user some feedback.
