Version:           0.8.2 (using KDE 3.3.2, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.4.3 20050110 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3.20050110, ssp-3.4.3.20050110-0, pie-8.7.7)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-gentoo-r4

In the accounts server screen, there should be a precommand option just like in kmail, which could be used for seting up things like ssh port forwarding, or any scripts you may want to run before checking news.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
