Description Vicente Ros Brandon 2005-02-05 10:02:28 UTC
Version: 0.7 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-2-k7

I add the camera. Digikam trys to connect but then appears the error and the connection is missing.

try with commandline gphoto2 and/or gtkam and see what results you get
Comment 2 Vicente Ros Brandon 2005-02-06 10:14:05 UTC
with gtkam I get the same results, but if I choose the speed of 9600, it works
fine, but very slow.
with gphoto2 only works with the command:
 gphoto2 --port /dev/ttyS0 --speed 9600 --camera "Epson PhotoPC 650" -L
In digikam, I can't select the speed, but I think now that the main problem is
that gphoto2 doesn't work fine when try to autodetect the speed.

In windows with the camera's drivers all works fine.

i just talked to the gphoto2 developers and looks like this problem has already been reported there:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=914525&group_id=8874&atid=108874
It would be good if you add your own comments

reassigned to gphoto2. It seems that none of the gphoto2 developers have this specific camera model. If you can get in touch with them, they will be able to resolve the problem faster
