Description Rolf Offermanns 2005-02-01 11:21:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.91)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

DigiKam needs gdbm for building. If it does not exist on the system the build will finish successfully but only the doc files are build and installed. Here is the configure output showing the problem:

-- digiKam configure results -------------------
-- imlib2 found................... YES
-- gphoto2 found.................. YES
-- libkexif found................. YES
-- libkipi found.................. YES
-- gdbm found..................... NO

digiKam needs gdbm. You need to install the gdbm development package.

-- libtiff found.................. YES
------------------------------------------------

Installing the distribution specific libgdbm-dev package fixes the problem btw.
Thinking of it again, I am not really sure if this should be handled by konstruct. But I don't think the build should start without libgdbm.

This Konstruct bug refer to an old KDE version (less than 3.5.8).
I'm closing this bug because this is an unmantained konstruct/KDE versions.

Eventually, please look at kdesvn-build for a more updated build script.
