Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux It might be useful if the KDE notification system could have a system tray icon that would show a list of previously received notification messages. Maybe it would also be nice to add the possibility for applications to show a message in balloon-style, near the systray icon of the KDE notification system. Applications that currently crowd the systray with their own icons (email notifyers and such) could use this in stead. The message in the balloon could be prepended with something like: "Message from application '<application name>':" and add a clickable link in the balloon saying 'Configure <application name>...' which shows the configuration dialog of the application. One more idea: The first time that an application ever sends a notification message to the user, the KDE notification system could display a more elaborate dialog saying: "Application 'Mail Notification' just sent you this message: <message>. Would you like to receive more messages like this in the future? (Yes/No)" This last idea might help people that would normally never attempt to customise notifications. Allright, enough ideas for now. Maybe you find some of these useful...
The notification history would be very useful for resolving Bug 94003.
This is basically done. Why don't you close this? ;)
You're right. Closing.
