Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.90) Installed from: SuSE RPMs To reproduce: 1. Settings->Configure KNode->Cleanup 2. Puge groups every: 1 days 3. Purge folders every: 1 days 4. OK 5. Make sure you have lots of accounts with lots of groups containing lots of messages to clean up. Wait one day. 6. File->Quit. KNode pops up a progress dialog and starts expiring articles. 7. While KNode is expiring articles, visit some other virtual desktop. Observed behaviour: Whenever KNode pops up a new progress bar window (for a new account, or whatever), it forcibly switches the display to its own virtual desktop and steals focus. Desired behaviour: KNode should mind its own business and not steal focus while I am working in another desktop.
Confirming bug exists on KDE 3.4 Beta 1.
I'm unable to reproduce this, what's your setting of KControl -> Desktop -> Window Behaviour -> Advanced -> Focus Stealing Prevention Level?
It's set to "Low", whatever that means.
That's the same setting I have here, then at least focus stealing prevention should have nothing to do with this. However I'm still unable to reproduce this.
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
