Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-3)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.8

I have installed the digikamplugins 0.6.2-2 package along with digikam 0.7-3, but the plugins are not available in the UI. For example the menu "Batch Processes" is completely empty.

FYI, digikam >= 0.7 deprecates (ie doesn't use) digikamplugins (< 0.7).  

The new plugins that digikam >= 0.7 uses are: 
kipi-plugins
digikamimageplugins

Since digiKam 5.2.0, all image editor plugins have been removed and embed as well in image editor/showfoto implementation. There is no more run-time loading of plugin libraries.
