an ability to search all folders for images that contain a text phrase (utf-8 regular expression text search) in their EXIF IPTC or Comment tags, and than view them. and...maybe add a special filter viewer on the navigation left panel just under tags that holds different filter queries snapshots for quick view.

This is related to Bug 91849 and possibly Bug 91372.

This wish is implemented and will be available in digiKam 0.8. Thanks for your report!
