Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Everybody who has been using e-mail on lists long enough knows there are certain conventions that are used to signify simple formatting in plain text mail (as we all know that html-mail is evil). Most notably these are *bold* /italic/ _underlined_. I'd like to have the option to the composer automatically mark up the text this way when clicking a bold/italic/underlined button. Same thing for bullets. As a second step I'd like the option to also see that *bold* as bold, etc. (also on receiving naturally). Having this option would eliminate pretty much all html-mail i still get from friends and family.

First step is still valid
