Description Jens 2005-01-04 10:58:12 UTC
Version: 0.7-beta1 (using KDE 3.3.2 Level "a" , unofficial build of SUSE )
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.111-default

Hi,

I just started digikam for the first time and imported 5 photos. They appeared in the "Meine Alben" (My albums) folder (or collection?). Then I decided I wanted them in their own album and created one, and wanted to move the files there.

But upon moving Digicam complained "Unknown error: Cannot find parent album" ("unbekannter Fehler: Kann das übergeordnete Quellalbum nicht finden").

What's going wrong here? Please have a look.

Thank you very much! :)

See comment #5 of #91740.
This has been fixed since 0.7.
To solve your problem: create a new album in your album root and use konqueror to move the images from the root folder to the newly created album folder.

Note for me: check if it is possible to import images into the root album.

OK, I'm sorry. I should have used the current version (I just installed the
RPM that SuSE 9.1 shipped).

SuSE 9.2 ships with 0.7.0 which also has some bugs left. But Digikam looks
_very_ promising, and it loads images very fast! Good work! :-D
