Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Kopete uses the proxy settings of KDE, but in some times, not is possible to connect into server of ICQ. In some cases, we have filtering of packages in firewall for default ports of ICQ, but not in http port. When i am in a place with firewall, i use SIM-icq app, that have this support. See the debug of connections: 10:14:45 [DBG] Start connect http.proxy.icq.com:80 10:14:45 [DBG] Connect to http.proxy.icq.com:80 10:14:45 [DBG] Start resolve http.proxy.icq.com. 10:14:46 [DBG] Resolve ready 205.188.248.198 10:14:46 [DBG] Connected 10:14:46 [DBG] HTTP connect ready <cut> It connect in other server, in port 80. I thing that is a good idea this feature for kopete. Claudio

After talking to the reporter on IRC, it appears the protocol for http.proxy.icq.com:80 isn't pure OSCAR. It's not really a proxy issue.
Created attachment 9869 [details] log of conection of sim-icq
In attach have a log that show more details about the conection by port 80 AND using http protocol for conection in AIM/ICQ server throug a simple http proxy.
Do NOT add me to the CC list. It's not necessary. I will look at the log when I have time.
Yet is valid this wishlist? I think that is possible to close it.
Hi, sorry for the bad news, but AIM was discontinued last year, so I will be closing this bug. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
