Version: 1.7.2 (using KDE 3.3.2 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.5-default When selecting "compact all folders" from the file menu at least the local mail folders (like inbox, drafts, sent-mail, outbox, junk) do not compact. They DO compact when selecting "compact" when right-clicking the folder itself. This bug seems to have been introduced even before KDE 3.3.2, since I even got files from before KDE 3.3.2 stuck in those folders.

Must be due to them being kept open at all times. Not sure what to do about that though.
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
