In current x-face implementation black frame surrounding image is few pixels higher than image which effect in ugly effect of grey background visible inside of frame. Screenshot attached.

Similar margin is also when using photo from KAddressbook.

Confirming bug still exists with KMail 1.7.91 (KDE 3.4 beta 1).

Problem still exists in 3.5 branch October 2006.
Interesting - when I copy'n'paste HTML code used for display photo to normal file and view it in Konq everything is OK. Only display in KMail is borked.

Still exists in KDE-PIM 4 - KMail 1.11  (KDE4.2, Qt4.4.3).

Confirming bug still occurs with KDE 4.2.3.
