Hi,

at the moment when i have a cached imap account set up with filtering, it seems,
that the mails are downloaded from the server, then filtered into different folders,
and then the mails are uploaded into the different folders on the server.

i don´t know if this is possible at all/how much work this would be, but i think it
would be a lot faster, when kmail would have an idea, which messages are "moved"
mails from the inbox on the server, and when this message should be in a folder,
simply do a copy or move on the server, instead of uploading the whole message
from client to server, when it is already there on the server.

thanks a lot, Holger

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
