Version:           1.7.1 (using KDE 3.3.1 Level "a" , SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.4 (pre 3.3.5 20040809)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-24.5-default

KMail crashes consistently when selecting all messages and running filters on them.  This only happens if Folder->Thread Messages is enabled. It seems also to be connected to the depth of nesting in the threads.  I don't have a back trace, or dump right now.  I do recall the commandline error output from one crash said something about an array access being out of bounds (-4).

Can you try copying the contents of the folder to a local one and apply the filters there? Does it still crash? Does it make any difference what kinds of filters you run? Only a single one? All of them? What do they do? I can't reproduce what you describe, so I need as much info as you can provide. Thanks.

Sorry, but if you can't provide more detailed information, we can't do anything to find the problem. So we'd have to close the report.

Certainly a duplicate as threading is explicitely mentioned.
