Version: 1.0-beta8 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1 -march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer OS: Linux Thanks for aKregator, I like it a lot. Every time I start Kontact aKregator isn't activated until I click the Feeds button. By active I mean fetching new articles and display unread messages in the system tray. I would aKregator to be active the moment I start Kontact. Also every time I start aKregator I have to change the dropdownbox from Unread to New & Unread. Please make it possible to remember the last setting so I don't have to change it every time I start Kontact. Thanks!
At least the second one seems to work in here...
In "stand-alone" modus yes, but as a Kontact container the settings are not saved and/or restored.
CVS commit by staikos: load part on startup so that it starts getting articles. Not great, but I think it's the best we can do for now. Hopefully danimo can help come up with a new approach in Kontact. saving settings in kontact definitely works BUG: 94291 M +1 -0 akregatorplugin.desktop 1.19 --- kdenonbeta/akregator/src/kontact_plugin/akregatorplugin.desktop #1.18:1.19 @@ -8,4 +8,5 @@ X-KDE-KontactPluginVersion=4 X-KDE-KontactPartLibraryName=libakregatorpart +X-KDE-KontactPartLoadOnStart=true X-KDE-PluginInfo-Name=kontact_akregator
Thanks George! I need to learn more about desktop files ;-) In the Kontact/aKregator version I use saving the view settings in Kontact definitely doesn't work, but thats ok, I have set the view settings in stand-alone mode and these settings are saved. When I use it in Kontact those view settings are applied.
Somehow, this seems to have been regressed somewhere, because I can't make these settings stick in kontact 1.2, akregator 1.2.1 - even if I set them first in standalone akregator
Sorry, never mind, added this to the wrong bug...
