Description Seva Gluschenko 2004-12-02 14:30:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.2 [FreeBSD] 20040728 Configured with: FreeBSD/i386 system compiler, Thread model: posix
OS: FreeBSD

We have some SMB domain here, but konqueror refuses to perform authentication, obviously because it can't provide domain name. When username and password for SMB share access is prompted, no "domain" entry is present. So konqueror refuses to authenticate while

mount_smbfs -W domain ....

does the job.

you don't happen to know how to set this up with samba, do you?
Comment 2 Christian Loose 2004-12-03 11:37:18 UTC
Isn't it possible to use 'domain/user' or 'domain\user' (i always forget which one) as username?
Comment 3 Gianfranco Liporace 2005-05-11 12:53:16 UTC
domain\username is the correct one ;)
Comment 4 Dawit Alemayehu 2013-08-18 23:19:14 UTC
KDE 3 is no longer maintained. Feel free to reopen the ticket if the problem is still applicable in the current stable KDE 4 version. Thank you for your report.
