Description Erik Parmann 2004-11-29 19:00:35 UTC
Version: amaroK 1.2-beta(1-2) (cvs from 29/11) (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

I use the cvs from Monday 29/11. I use xine output. When I chose a visualization, that works. When I pause the track that works. But when I want to play the track again I get a bunch of error messages that says that amarok can not find output mode (or something in that direction).
If it is needed I can do more spesific testing (albait i rather not, it just ouputs so manny error windows that it chrashes kde).

Please specify the exact error message.
Comment 2 Erik Parmann 2005-02-02 19:24:59 UTC
Well, the good news is that it dont chrashes kde more, the new "smal yellow post-it with error message" is a lot esyer on my window manager.
The exact message I get is:
"
Audio output unavailable;
the device is busy.

Sorry, no additional information is available
"
It seams to only happen with the xine engine. I get 10 messages like that (that is, I have to press Ok 10 times)
If I take of the visualization, the track starts to play again.
It dont happen with all the visualizations. This is the ones it happends with:
goom
finespctrum
cdcover
bscope
blursk
With for example sanalyzer, there is no problem.

Comment 5 Max Howell 2005-02-04 19:40:12 UTC
Not a crash.
Comment 6 Alexandre Oliveira 2005-05-17 04:48:57 UTC
Is this still valid for 1.2.3?
Comment 7 Erik Parmann 2005-05-17 12:40:04 UTC
Yes, it is. Altough the behavor has changed some. Now the yellow "post-it" comes up. It jump to the next song in the playlist and creates a new playlist. It continues untill the end of the playlist.
I then have to turn off the visualization for it to start to play again.
And btw I now use dmixer, and have alsa as output driver i xine.

Can you update to 1.3 final and see if this is still happening?
Comment 9 Erik Parmann 2005-08-16 00:40:19 UTC
Using todays SVN (1.3 Final), it still happends. Only on the helix and xine enines. Not with gstreamer.
Comment 10 Alexandre Oliveira 2005-08-20 03:55:12 UTC
The problem is the same, so let's keep only one report.
