Description jeff pitman 2004-11-26 10:39:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

Would be nice if one could research a bit more how to get MSN and Yahoo! working behind a firewall that blocks all ports but 21, 53, 80, and 443. There's no proxy here. Don't ask. AIM works well because you can pick any port and the login server supports it.

For MSN, any change to 1863 will not work.

For Yahoo!, there's no way to change the port to connect to.

FYI for Yahoo!:

[jeff@kubik web]$ nc -vz cs23.msg.dcn.yahoo.com 80
cs23.msg.dcn.yahoo.com [216.155.193.150] 80 (http) open
