Description Staffan Palmroos 2004-11-17 22:28:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Some web pages, for example mailing list archives, can be very wide forcing you to scroll the page sideways when trying to read the posts. This can happen for example when someone has posted a very long url.

My suggestion is this: how about a "force word wrap" option in konqueror to make konqueror try to layout the page so it fits in the browser window? This of course would break the design of the page, but that really doesn't matter if it makes the page more readable.

The opposite would be quite useful too, making a very narrow page cover the whole window width.

Figuring out how to distribute the width of the page to the different components of the page in a general way could be quite tricky though.
