Description Guido Winkelmann 2004-11-17 18:41:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

When I choose the grouped message view for a certain folder, KMail will add a tree structure to the "subject" column in the message overview. This is fine if the subject column is the first one, as it is by default, but if the user has changed the layout so that it isn't, this looks awkward, if not confusing.

IMHO KMail should make sure that the column that shows this tree structure is the first one in the message overview.

We can not change this behaviour at this moment. Maybe KDE4 will make this possible, sorry for that.
Comment 2 Kevin Goeser 2005-09-26 18:10:20 UTC
This could (should) also solve another problem: if mail-conversations are lengthy, the tree structure takes the place of the subject field, i.e. makes it unreadable.

The problem is still there in KDE 4.3.2

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2
