Description xtian0009 2004-11-11 10:17:52 UTC
Version: 2.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-2)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-1-686

I find many songs can hardly be categorized in only one genre. Therefore I'd suggest to make Juk handle multiple e.g. comma separated genres when they are entered in the "Genre" Combo of the tag editor: these genres should all the appear in the "Genres" list of the "Collection List" and the song should be in each of them.

An example: One could say the song "Hotel Normady" from "Patricia Kaas is "Chanson" and another one would say "Jazz" and someone else "Blues". I would then enter "Chanson, Jazz, Blues" in the "Genre" Combo, save the tags and among the "Genres" playlists of the "Collection List" the song would appear simultaneously in the lists "Chanson", "Jazz" and "Blues" which would be created if not yet done.

Thanks in advance and regards,

Sangohn Christian.

I like this idea a lot! If I understood the ID3v2-reference [1] correctly, there is already support for more than one entry in the TCON-Frame (Genre).
