Version: 1.0.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 20040623 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.4-r1, ssp-3.3.2-2, pie-8.7.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 When you configure the mail summary, its not possible to add folders recursively. Eg. if you have a folder "lists" whoch contains all your mailinglists, you can't just select that folder and all the lists are displayed. Also, it should be possible to show only the folders which contain new mail (which is related to bug 80516) or that list will grow too long. Without these options, the mail summary view is pretty useless. This is probably related to (or even the same as) bug 91676; but as I don't know the "old behaviour" that reporter mentiones, I filed this one as a separate bug/wish.
Ingo, can you fix that?
This should be easy enough. So I make it a JJ.
The mail summary only shows unread messages so that part of the bug report is fixed. I'm not so sure that the recursive selection as you describe it will work since a parent folder can have messages in it too. So, a user might want to select the parent only and not all children folders. So I'm not sure how to proceed. (In my personal opinion I don't even think this is a bug. Ingo?)
Reassign to kdepim-bugs since it's unlikely that I will work on this anytime soon.
As the first issue has been resolved (KMail 1.12.4 and Summary v. 1.1) and seeing Comment #3 I think this bug is resolved.
yeah, let's close it.
