Description Jaakko Holster 2004-11-07 14:54:58 UTC
Version: 0.20 (using KDE 3.3.0, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-12)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.6.8

Complex pdf or postscript page may take several seconds to render on low-end machines (for example on my P200MMX laptop). To get around this, why not pre-render next page in background while user is seeing current page? When user moves to next page, the pre-rendered page can be displayed immediately.

KDE's image viewer 'kuickshow' does also similar trick - pre-decodes next JPEG image while showing the current one.
