Description Luke-Jr 2004-11-05 18:57:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

The only way I could find to open an attached email (forwarded) was to save it and open it.

How about Right Click + View... ?

Comment 2 Luke-Jr 2004-11-05 19:53:35 UTC
That works, thanks. Perhaps View should be added to the multipart-list below the preview?
Comment 3 Thomas G. 2004-11-05 23:33:17 UTC
dont think this is a bug or wish.
try left click on the text embedded message (dont know the exact english
translation).that opens me an window with the forwarded message

I saw that with comment #1... This is therefore a request for adding 'View' to the rightclick menu for items in the multi-part list/tree.
Comment 5 David Faure 2004-11-06 00:01:15 UTC
A much better solution is View / Attachments / Inline (or Smart, but that was a bit broken in 3.3 I think).
Then the attached mail appears in the body of the mail.

This is currently what I have enabled. However, to reply to the forwarded mail, it must first be opened to work properly (go to the original recipient, etc).

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.
Comment 8 Luigi Toscano 2012-08-19 00:47:35 UTC
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
