Description Anton Markov 2004-10-30 05:21:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

KOrganizer needs an option to group the To-Do's on the "What's Next?" page the same way they are grouped in the main list. This will make it less confusing to see which projects need to be worked on. For example

My To-Do's:
- Big project [priority 2]
  - Part 1 [priority 2]
  - Part 2 [priority 3]
- Some other task [priority 2]

Currently, "What's Next?" may look like this:
- Big project
- Part 1
- Some other task
- Part 2

Proposed output:
- Big Project
  - Part 1
  - Part 2 (perhaps faded to show lower priority)
- Some other task

This way it is easier to see which To-Do depends on what, and makes it possible to add a collapes button beside, in this example "Big Project", to make more room on the screen.

In this way if a To-Do makes it on the "What's Next?" list, all of its sub-to-do's are also displayed. If a sub-to-do is not important enough to be on the list (whatever the criteria may be), then it should be greyed out, with a preference to hide them completely.

Combined with the proposal in bug 92364, this would make Sub-To-Do's a lot more useful.
