Description J 2004-10-23 15:41:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I recently reinstalled SuSE 9.0 (which comes with KDE 3.2). I saved my KDE bookmarks to a CD-RW in HTML format. After the fresh 9.0 installation i immediately updated to KDE 3.3. Now i'm trying to import the bookmarks. The only way to import HTML bookmarks is the "import mozilla bookmarks" option. I told keditbookmarks to create a new folder and import the bookmarks. The folder "Mozilla bookmarks" was created but it stays empty. There wasn't any error message.

I tried to import the html file with mozilla but the same effect. No bookmarks imported.

The exported html file is for viewing, not for transfering.
As you noted there is no import for html.

Anyway your use case is valid:
While there is File/Save as, the import step is missing.
