Version:           0.9.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, SuSE)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.4-52-default

KDE 3.3.1 downloaded in RPM pakeges from KDE.org that was optimised for Suse 9*
kopete 0.9.1
Suse Linux 9.1 personal
Standart kernel.
It isn´t a bag, just unlikely when someone from Russia write to you in codepage 1251 and from Baltic in cp 1252. and messenge was writed in russia don´t desplaeyd correctly.

I would be see in future version of kopete in some chat windows shortcut with CP changing.
If this are probably don--please--help me find that!
